Dorothea Ackroyd
was born in Herford in 1960.
After finishing the Graphic Design Studies at the Technical University for Visual Communication in Bielefeld she started to work as a freelance illustrator.
From 1993 it came to the first publications in the field of children’s books and in 1993 the first picture book was published – in the meantime she had had two children.
